As with previous years the action kicks off from 2pm in Pencaitland’s Trevelyan Hall. Groups or families turning up will be given litter pickers and bags before heading off to various parts of, not only Pencaitland, but hopefully some of the other areas covered by the Community Council. We’re particularly keen to have groups or families who want to cover Glenkinchie or New Winton this year.

The Scottish Government has published its draft National Litter Strategy for consultation, focusing on action that will help prevent litter and illegal dumping.
Many thanks to all those who helped make our annual Litter Pick-up a success this year, despite the constant threat of rain. We had over 50 kids and parents, plus our local MP Fiona O’Donnell and primary school Head Mary McCall at the event.
